We have an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in our Lawrenceville, GA location.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting manufacturing activities that include, but are not limited to process engineering & optimization, programming of automation equipment, capital equipment identification, selection & justification, analysis & corrective action, cost estimation and quotes, troubleshooting, training of operators, and shop supervision. This person will report to the VP of Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process Engineering and optimization of manufacturing automation process leading to increased productivity, reduced lead-time and cost
  • Identify and select suitable capital equipment
  • Program automation equipment for punching and bending to enable unattended operations
  • Cost estimation of manufactured parts
  • Process or manufacturing data analysis
  • Involvement in expansion project planning and execution
  • Provide tactical support to manufacturing operations including supervision of shop operations in the absence of the manager and/or assistant manager
  • Other various duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • AS with 1-3 years of work experience as a Manufacturing engineer in a directly related product line/Industry
  • Programming experience on automation equipment and training preferred
  • Sheetmetal fabrication knowledge required
  • Must be able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
  • Must have very good analytical ability
  • Must have in depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Must have working knowledge of manufacturing machinery
  • Programming knowledge for CNC and automation equipment required
  • Hands on experience with automation including programming of robotic equipment
  • Must be computer literate with good expertise in MS office
  • Must be able to work with the ERP system and PLM system
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
